Jumpy

An all-purpose vehicle

The new Jumpy is the link between the New Berlingo and Jumper. It brings customers a wide choice of combinations in terms of volume, payload and load length. The Jumpy is also packed with technological innovations and a range of equipment dedicated to comfort, driveability and safety.

Building on these qualities, the Jumpy has convinced demanding customers and claimed the title of Van of the Year 2008.

Generous dimensions and multiple functions

Adapting to the flexibility required by buyers, the Jumpy is available with:

• variable load volume: the new Jumpy combines two lengths with two wheelbases and two body heights. As a result, the load volume varies between 5 and 7 m3;

• variable payload: the payload can vary between 1,000 and 1,200 kg;

• variable load length: the interior load length of the new Jumpy varies between 2.25m and 2.58m depending on the version;

• self-levelling air suspension at the rear: this lowers vehicle height to under 1.90m, giving it access to covered car parks, for example;

• a wide range of body styles: the new Jumpy is available as a panel or window cab, as well as in platform cab versions for conversions.

Prestige, dynamic styling

The styling of the new Jumpy expresses vitality and durability. At the front end, taut flowing lines are combined with an imposing radiator grille and oversized bumper. The rear end of the Jumpy reflects the careful thought that went into design. The cubic form, for example, suggests easy loading.

Features and finish that are rare in this segment

The functional and elegant cabin of the Jumper is tailored to the needs of the most demanding  professional users. The high-quality soundproofing and ergonomic design – with a steering wheel adjustable for height and reach – enhance driving pleasure.

The new Jumpy is also available with equipment rarely seen on the LCV market, such as automatic wipers and headlights, and a 12V socket in the centre of the dashboard.

The van is also available with a speed-limiter/cruise control, reversing radar to make driving/manoeuvres easier, a Bluetooth hands-free kit and a NaviDrive navigation system to assist professional users.

First-rate safety

The Jumpy's braking system is sized for reliability, efficiency and endurance (disc brakes at front and rear across most of the range). It also features ABS and emergency brakeforce assist. The optional ESP and self-levelling air suspension at the rear guarantee impeccable road manners, regardless of load (within the limits of gross vehicle weight).

Passengers also reap the benefits of the upgrades in terms of passive safety. A total of six airbags are available, with the driver's airbag as standard.

A range of modern engines

The Jumpy ships with a wide choice of engines. It is available with three diesel units: the 1.6 HDi 90 (66 kW), 2.0 HDi 120 (88 kW) and 2.0 HDi 140 DPFS (100 kW). This last engine includes a particulate filter as standard. All engines are mated to manual gearboxes, with five speeds for the HDi 90 engine and six for the two 2.0 HDi units.

The line-up is completed by a 143 bhp 2.0i (103 kW) petrol engine, mated to a five-speed manual gearbox.
