The C6 is a luxury saloon with top-flight presence, styling and features.

The C6 takes the vital codes of the segment – elegance, sophistication and prestige – and combines them with essential Citroën values, the cornerstones of the Marque’s history but moving forward continuously.

These values are expressed through avant-garde technology, based on styling and the pursuit of comfort, and through engines that place the emphasis on driveability rather than sheer power.

Unique styling

The original design of the new C6 combines the Marque's own styling cues with classic executive car aesthetics. The proportions, roof line and curve of the wheel arches immediately identify the C6 as one of the great Citroën models.

The C6’s long wheelbase and flowing, aerodynamic profile give it real presence and convey space, stability and power.

With a wheelbase of 2.90 m and cabin length of 1.83 m, the C6 is designed to satisfy executive saloon customers looking for outstanding space.

At the front, drivers can easily find the ideal driving position with electric seats featuring up to five adjustment positions and an electrically-adjusting steering wheel. All these settings can be memorised, along with those for the head-up display and wing mirrors.

The flat floor pan at the back increases the impression of space and considerably improves the space available.

High-performance engines

The C6 ships with two V6 engines, both mated to a six-speed automatic gearbox: the 215 bhp DIN 3.0i V6 and the 208 bhp DIN 2.7 V6 HDi DPFS. These engines fully deliver on driving thrills, providing a smooth ramp-up in power with remarkably quiet running.

The C6 can also be fitted with the 2.2 HDi 173 DPFS mated to a six-speed manual transmission. This stand-out unit offers generous driving pleasure, particularly at low engine speeds, while providing low fuel consumption.

Remarkable on-road qualities

The C6 boasts impeccable road manners in all circumstances, even on uneven, bumpy roads. To effectively separate the guidance and damping functions on the C6, the suspension features double wishbones with a linked hub carrier at the front, and a multi-link set-up at the rear.

To smooth out road bumps and achieve an ideal trade-off between comfort, roadholding and driving pleasure, the running gear on the V6 petrol and diesel models features electronically controlled springing and damping, while the HDi 173 DPFS version is fitted with Hydractive III Plus suspension.

Complete range of safety equipment

The C6 also aims to be a class leader in safety, in terms of both vehicle control and passenger protection. High levels of active and passive safety are ensured by a range of standard equipment including ESP, a stiff body structure, nine airbags – of which a driver’s knee airbag – and active headrests on the front seats.
