The C3’s inimitable good looks have played a large part in its successful career that began in March 2002.

High-volume architecture and curvaceous lines make the C3 spacious, accessible and bright, for impressive travelling comfort.

Cabin comfort

The vehicle’s dimensions – 3.85 m high, 1.67 m wide and, most importantly, 1.52 m high – result in an exceptionally roomy interior. And with a large 305-litre boot, the C3 is a bona fide family supermini.

Travelling comfort is enhanced by an extensive range of comfort equipment and driving aids. For example, the C3 can be fitted with a speed limiter and cruise control, reversing radars, automatic lights and automatic front wipers, together with HF-controlled power folding wing mirrors.

A wide range of engines

The C3 range is available with a choice of seven engines: four petrol units – the 61 bhp 1.1i, 75 bhp 1.4i, 90 bhp 1.4i 16V and 110 bhp 1.6i 16V – and three diesels, the HDi 70, HDi 92 and HDi 110 DPFS.
The SensoDrive automated manual gearbox is available with the HDi 70 diesel and the 90 bhp 1.4i 16V and 110 bhp 1.6i 16V petrol engines, depending on the market. The automatic gearbox is available with the 1.6i 16V engine.

Two other versions of the C3, the C3 Stop & Start and the C3 1.4i CNG (natural gas), reduce fuel consumption and CO2 emissions.

Top-level safety features

The C3 has numerous features for top-level active and passive safety. Its running gear provides precise on-road behaviour with fast, healthy responses, while the braking system includes ABS, electronic brakeforce distribution and emergency brake assist from the first trim level. For more peace of mind at the wheel, the C3 can also be equipped with ESP combined with traction control.

The C3 scores high on passive safety with a wealth of other safety equipment, including six airbags of which two curtain airbags, as well as front seat belts with pyrotechnic pretensioners with load limiters, three three-point seat belts in the back, and electric child safety controls on dashboard. The vehicle obtained four stars in the EuroNCAP test.
