In 2005, Citroën beat its own sales record in Spain, with 213,000 registrations for overall market share of 11.1%. The Marque is No. 1 on both the consumer sales and LCV market, with market share of 13% in both cases, and No. 2 on the car market. Figures for the first three months of 2006 confirm Citroën's position as No. 1 on the Spanish LCV market for the tenth year running, with market share of 13.56% and 10.93% on the car/LCV market.

Building on this commercial success and with the most complete and modern range in its history, Citroën will be present at the Madrid International Motor Show between 25 May and 4 June 2006. The Citroën range, extending from the cheery C1 entry-level supermini to the prestigious C6 grand tourer, recently gained a number of new and varied vehicles. Although the new Jumper, a particularly versatile light commercial vehicle, will clearly rank among the stars of the show, the Marque is also displaying C-Triomphe, a new notchback sedan.

The show also gives Citroën an opportunity to present the C5 featuring the new HDi 173 DPFS engine for dynamic, responsive performance, and the C4 equipped with the new 6-speed clutchless manual gearbox, mated to the HDi 110 DPFS engine for exceptional comfort and driveability. Both new models will go on sale from June, depending on the country.

Among the other attractions rolled out by Citroën for this exceptional event, we should mention C-Buggy, a new small concept car, the C-Airplay concept car, the C4 Hybrid HDi demonstration vehicle and the C2 Stop & Start.

Building on its double world title (manufacturer and driver) in the 2005 World Rally Championship with Sébastien Loeb, Citroën is also presenting the C2 Super 1600 and C4 Citroën Sport concept car. This last model is the forerunner to the C4 WRC, which will mark Citroën's return to the World Rally Championship in 2007.
